what we offer
Working independently shouldn’t mean stocking a mini fridge in your trunk or lugging foils, color, and supplies back and forth every single day.
The Shirley takes care of the atmosphere and shared experience so you can focus on your clients and your business.
Depending on your rental arrangement, amenities may include guest and professional snacks, coffee, soft drinks, wine and beer, Wi-Fi, shared shampoo and color areas, capes and robes, cleaning of common spaces, and other shared salon essentials.
Hair professionals may also choose to participate in our Milbon Color + Backbar Program, giving you access to professional color and shared color supplies without having to individually stock an entire color room.
Some things stay personal. Hot tools, brushes, clips, extension hair and extension equipment are not shared between stylists. Keratin services are also separate from the color program.

Flex Hair Chair
Flex rental is designed for independent stylists who want access to a beautiful, fully functioning salon without committing to a permanent chair.
Reserve available days as you need them and enjoy the same Shirley experience while you’re here—including our shampoo area, shared spaces, linens, guest amenities, refreshments and hospitality. Simply bring your personal tools and everything you need for your day behind the chair.
Flex renters don’t have a dedicated station, storage or guaranteed recurring schedule, making this a great fit for stylists who work part-time, split their time between locations, are transitioning into independence, or simply need a great place to see clients occasionally.

Permanent Hair Chair
For independent stylists looking for a place to truly put down roots, our permanent chairs offer the consistency of your own salon home with the ease of a thoughtfully shared space.
Permanent renters receive a dedicated station and storage, a guaranteed recurring schedule, and priority access to their chosen working days. You’ll have full access to The Shirley’s shared spaces, amenities and guest hospitality—without the responsibility of running an entire salon.

Private Rooms
For independent beauty and wellness professionals who need a little more privacy.
Our private rooms are designed for professionals such as estheticians, brow artists, massage therapists, skincare professionals, and other compatible services.
You run your business. We provide the beautiful space around it.
The Color Program
All the color. None of the hauling.
Available to both Permanent and Flex renters, The Shirley Color Program is for stylists who want the freedom of working independently without having to maintain, stock and transport an entire color inventory.
For flat rate you’ll have access to our shared Milbon color inventory along with the everyday color supplies you need behind the chair—including developer, lightener, foils, gloves, bowls, brushes and other standard color essentials.
The program is a flat monthly membership, regardless of how many days you work. Walk in, formulate, create, and get to work—without having a full-blown panic attack because Linda is coming at 9:00am and her 6N is still sitting at cosmoprof.
*Extensions, extension supplies/equipment, keratin treatments and personal styling tools are not included.
